Job Purpose
The IT Manager is responsible for leading Information Technology operations for ONV while supporting the long-term IT integration and standardization strategy across Otsuka Group companies in Vietnam.
Initially, the role will focus on managing ONV's IT functions and supervising the local IT team. In parallel, the incumbent will provide IT consultancy support to other Group entities (OPV, OTV and OVRO) by assessing their existing IT environments and identifying opportunities for collaboration, optimization and standardization.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations Management (ONV)
Lead and manage day-to-day IT operations within ONV.
Supervise and provide direction to the local IT team, including assigned IT personnel.
Ensure stable operation of servers, networks, storage systems, end-user devices and business applications.
Maintain service quality and responsiveness to business users.
Monitor IT performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Group IT Assessment and Consultancy
Conduct comprehensive assessments of IT environments within OPV, OTV and OVRO.
Review infrastructure components including servers, storage systems, network devices, internet connectivity, CCTV systems and related technologies.
Identify risks, inefficiencies, duplication of resources and improvement opportunities.
Provide recommendations to management regarding IT optimization and standardization initiatives.
Group IT Strategy and Standardization
Establish common standards for infrastructure, cybersecurity, procurement, licensing and IT service delivery.
Drive initiatives that improve efficiency while supporting each company's business requirements.
Coordinate with OHD and relevant stakeholders to align local initiatives with Group policies and strategic direction.
Shared IT Services Management
Lead and coordinate shared IT activities across Group companies.
Procure laptops, tablets and standard end-user equipment.
Consolidate software licensing activities, including Microsoft 365, Azure, firewall subscriptions and other enterprise software.
Manage license renewals and optimize software utilization.
Coordinate and implement IT training programs directed by OHD.
Evaluate additional shared-service opportunities to improve effectiveness and reduce costs.
Infrastructure and Cloud Management
Provide technical leadership and recommendations related to servers, networks, storage, cloud services and cybersecurity technologies.
Support the operation and administration of Microsoft 365, Azure and other cloud platforms where applicable.
Ensure appropriate backup, disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities are maintained.
Participate in infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Information Security and Risk Management
Promote cybersecurity awareness and best practices across Group companies.
Support incident response activities and coordinate appropriate containment and recovery actions when required.
Assist in implementing Group security policies and controls.
Monitor technology risks and recommend mitigation actions.
IT Service Management
Define and monitor IT service levels.
Lead incident, problem and change management activities.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve service quality.
Ensure user satisfaction through effective support processes.
Project and Vendor Management
Manage IT projects involving multiple stakeholders across different entities.
Coordinate with vendors, consultants and service providers.
Participate in contract reviews, price negotiations and vendor performance evaluations.
Ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, timelines and budgets.
Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience
Minimum 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, operations or service management roles.
Minimum 3 years of experience in an IT leadership or supervisory position.
Skills
Proven experience managing projects involving multiple stakeholders.
Experience in IT service management processes, including incident, change and problem management.
Strong technical knowledge of server infrastructure, networking, cloud services and cybersecurity technologies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to balance operational responsibilities with strategic planning initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting multiple legal entities or regional operations.
Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure and Entra ID environments.
Knowledge of cybersecurity incident response and business continuity planning.
Experience managing IT budgets, procurement activities and software licensing.
Experience negotiating with vendors and service providers.
Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, Microsoft, Cisco or security-related credentials are advantageous.
