I. MAIN DUTIES
Quality Management System (QMS) & Compliance (QA Focus) - Establish policies and evaluate the QMS, including Quality Manual, HACCP Plan, Food Defense, Food Fraud, and Halal requirements.
Act as the Food Safety Team Leader (FSTL) and provide strategic recommendations for ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 compliance.
Oversee Document Control, GMP, and Pest Control programs across the factory.
Develop and manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets for the Quality department.
Quality Control & Laboratory Operations (QC Focus) - Oversee and coordinate all laboratory testing activities to ensure accurate, timely execution and alignment with production schedules.
Review and approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), production batch records, and validation protocols prior to product release.
Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and operation of all laboratory and production measuring equipment.
Analyze test results, verification trend data, and prepare comprehensive quality reports for the Board of Management.
Audit & Inspection Management - Lead the preparation, execution, and follow-up of all internal and external audits (Certification Bodies, Food Safety Administration, Customers, Overseas Representatives).
Ensure the laboratory and factory meet all audit requirements, aiming for zero critical findings.
Customer Complaint, Material & Product Handling - Investigate customer complaints and internal factory non-conformities; develop and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Manage Supplier Quality: conduct supplier audits, evaluate performance, and approve new materials/suppliers.
Oversee product handling activities, including market visits, distributor socialization, and product inspections to ensure customer satisfaction.
Leadership, Training & Continuous Improvement - Provide leadership to the QA/QC team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture and managing performance appraisals.
Identify training needs and conduct periodic refresher training on GMP, new testing methods, and quality protocols.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in laboratory workflows, testing procedures, and overall quality processes.
II. JOB SPECIFICATION
Education Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Chemical/Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
Requirements
Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in QA/QC within a manufacturing environment (Food/Beverage/Pharma preferred), with proven managerial experience.
In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, and Halal standards.
Lead Auditor certification is highly preferred.
Willing to work in Factory in Phu My 3, Ba Ria Vung Tau
Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in MS Office and electronic documentation systems.
Physically and mentally healthy, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Able to operate computer: MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoints)
